1960s Austinsuite teak low chest / sideboard refurbished
Dating to the mid to late 1960s this useful piece started as a dressing table with a long low mirror . We’ve original the original varnished finish as it had a few small marks after some 50 years . We’ve then oiled it and it’s come up looking great .
Frank Guille who was designing for Austinsuite in the 1960s came up with this lovely simple range in teak with its stylish contrasting rosewood veneered trim to the drawers . We’ve got various chests of drawers from this range available on the website ( at time of listing ) .
It’s a useful size at 145cms long , 65.5cms in height and 42.5cms in depth . It would be great in a bedroom ( we do have original mirror if wanted ) either as a storage piece or as originally designed as a dressing chest . Alternatively it could be used as a small sideboard for standing a TV or music system etc . The legs unscrew .
