1960s British teak chest of drawers possibly Beautility
The design looks very similar to a Beautility one we’ve seen in their 1964 catalogue , but its taller and a different veneer , so possibly a later model . The legs with brass finish caps unscrew , and the handles also have a brass finish . Beautility was a slightly cheaper maker than G Plan , but it’s still well made with dovetailed drawers and a nice figure to the teak veneer . Another possible maker would be Elliots of Newbury .
It’s been cleaned and oiled , and there are no obvious marks or scratches just the very minor signs of wear that you have to expect from something that has been carefully used for some 50 years .
Its a useful size at 104cms high , 75cms wide and 41cms deep .
