1960’s Danish rosewood sideboard designed by Johannes Andersen for Hans Bech model HB20
We specialise in selling a good range of Mid-Century sideboards by Scandinavian and British makers , but this has to be the best one we’ve had in recent years. When we bought it at had been badly varnished but once this had been removed and the sideboard re-polished it has come back to it’s glorious best. We have a very experienced in-house time served restorer who has given it a natural oiled finish which suits such pieces well. The rosewood veneers have a lovely grain and it sits on a mahogany base. It’s got a beautifully finished interior as you’ll see and it’s made to the highest standards by the well known small Danish maker Hans Bech.
It was designed in 1968 by Johannes Andersen who was in the top rank of Mid-Century Danish designers and worked for a number of well known makers coming up with many iconic and sought after designs.
We’ve had the teak version before but it doesn’t turn up often in rosewood.
