1960s Danish teak slatted bench manner of Aksel Kjaersgaard
A lovely small teak bench , it’s 105cms long , 40cms high and 31cms deep . Ideal as extra seating for kids .
The detailing looks like that found on pieces by Aksel Kjaersgaard of Odder in Denmark , but their pieces are usually stamped . The only other one we could find was in Germany and the seller also didn’t know the maker or designer . We bought it from the family of the original owners along with some known Danish pieces that were all bought new in the mid 1960s .
The slatted top is beautifully made and all the slats can be removed easily and slot in with small dowels . Typical mid-century Danish quality detailing and craftsmanship .
