1960s vintage Hubbinet teak sideboard in good vintage condition .
Hubbinet are usually only known for their 1950s kitchen cabinets , some of which are rather quirky and slightly kitsch . They are always well made . It’s the first time we’ve seen a teak sideboard by them , and surprisingly they came up with a really stylish design rather than a funky one . Nice clean lines , nice grain to the teak throughout . Some makers saved money on cheaper legs and handles and other details , but all are good . It’s not anywhere near as heavy as a G Plan or McIntosh one , but it’s a lot better made than those by firms like Beautility and Stonehill .
It is in vintage condition , but there are no obvious heat or water marks , or any bad scratches so it’s in good order for its age . The doors concertina out . It retains it’s original Hubbinet label . All in all a good value smart and practical 1960s vintage sideboard .
