1962 Teak Rocking Chair by Gimson and Slater.
This fully restored Mid Century armchair was manufactured by Gimson and Slater. It has been upholstered in a Bute wool fabric in a raspberry colour.
A quality teak framed rocking chair, the frame shape and construction is excellent. It has been stripped back, removing the top cover, perished webbing and layers of padding. The original stuffing and shape has been preserved as it was in excellent condition. A new clean layer of cotton felt has been followed with a fireproof barrier fabric. New pirrelli rubber webbing and foam seat cushion has replace the old bringing the chair up to current fire standards.
Well proportioned and very comfortable.
