2 White + Newton teak 1970s low cabinets from Encore range
Designed by the talented Philip Hussey and launched we believe in 1973 the Encore range was made up of various elements to create numerous options at the time . It was a ” mix and match ” system , with base units like these which were also sold with legs , on to which you could add various sizes of cupboards and shelves . The add on pieces were either completely teak veneered or a mix of white laminate and teak . We have a unit currently on the website which has white and teak top sections on an identical base to the longer one here , but its on legs .
The longer one was reserved for a customer who saw the teak and white unit we had and asked if we could split it . Amazingly these 2 cabinets had just arrived so the larger one was sold before going on the website , to add to a larger set they already have in their hall .
The shorter one would make a great TV or stereo stand with storage under . Its 101.5cms wide 46cms high and 48cms deep .
