82 piece set of Alveston Old Hall Cutlery.

Stunning set of stainless steel, Old Hall cutlery, designed by Robert Welch circa 1965.

Alveston was made by Old Hall until they were taken over by Oneida who carried on producing it for a while . The Oneida version was not made in the UK and is nowhere near as sought after . The design has been re-issued by Robert Welch’s son under the name of RW2 and was available in John Lewis’s last time I looked . The new sets are not available in wood canteens .

Vintage sets as complete as this don’t come up for sale very often .
