A Younger Sequence teak highboard circa 1970

A Younger Sequence teak highboard circa 1970

In vintage condition with a little damage to the drop-down door which is restoreable .

The Sequence range was introduced in 1968 and designed by John Herbert and Alan Pledge to replace much larger and varied range of sideboards that A Younger were offering previously . This rationalised range was all of the same basic design , but with different layouts . This is a high sideboard , generally known as a Highboard and was a shape previously not offered by Youngers . Today it’s not as popular an idea as the long low sideboards , but back in the late 1960s highboards were becoming popular as you could store more in them .
