Borge Mogensen 1960’s Danish teak media cabinet
Not labelled but a recognisable design by Borge Mogensen who was best known for his iconic leather sofa and chair designs . A nicely made piece it’s been cleaned as there were a few small marks to the top when we bought it . It originally had a bookcase top , but the auctioneers had lost the shelves that were there when they photographed it ! We still have the top section , and could look to make some shelves perhaps .
It’s a perfect size to stand a turntable and speakers . The interior has 1 adjustable shelf which as you’ll see gives plenty of space for LPs and other items .
It’s 100cms wide , 87cms high and 46cms deep . We managed to find a key that works well with the lock which as you’ll see isn’t the usual standard type . A great value practical piece by a good designer now in good restored condition with no obvious marks or damage , just the minor signs of wear that you have to expect on any vintage piece after over 50 years of use .
