Comfortable pair of 1960s vintage British teak armchairs with smart detailing to the arms . These nice chairs are by an unknown maker , but are of similar quality to models by such makers as Guy Rogers , Grieves + Thomas , and Toothill .
The high backs are shaped really well to give plenty of support and comfort . The dark teak frames are in nice clean condition with no obvious damage or marks apart from the minor signs of wear that you have to expect after over 40 years of use .
The previous owner has had them re-upholstered in the last few years , but looks to have had a cat as there are some areas where there is some clicking to the fabric . We can send photos showing this , as we feel some customers would be quite happy to live with them in their current state , particularly if they also have a cat !
Our upholsterer will charge £300 for re-upholstery , and would need 3.5 metres of fabric of standard width . We recommend and can arrange samples from a number of British companies , for ideas go to the fabric section of our pureimaginations.co.uk website .
