Dalescraft teak framed armchair upholstered to order.
An extremely rare high backed armchair made by quality British firm Dalescraft. We date these chairs to the mid-late 1950’s. The last time we had a pair of these armchairs was back in 2016 and have not found since until now. The design is typical of Dalescraft at the time taking inspiration from Danish design and in this case the Aksel Bender Madsen for the Dutch company Bovencamp.
The stylish shaped arms and frame have been cleaned and oiled. The price includes the upholstery work. The seat will need new webbing and seat pad and all the upholstery will be brought up to meet current fire regulaions. The choice of the top fabric is the customers own, we can help with fabric samples from the companies we use, including wools from Abraham Moon and Camira, boucles from Warwick and both patterns and plains from Romo. We are also happy if the customer provides their own, upholstery suitable fabric.
The Dalescraft chair will need 3 meters of fabric, this is extra depending on choice and is not included in the price.
Dimensions: width 61cm, depth 75cm, height 92cm. seat height 40cm.
