G Plan Housemaster armchair in rosewood and leather.
These fabulous chairs were expensive when they were new in the early to mid 1970’s and were only available from around 1971 to c 1976. They were made either with teak veneer or the more expensive model with rosewood veneers. Here we have a rosewood one for sale. Restored and re upholstered, the rosewood has a beautiful grain to it and is in good condition and the chrome is tidy.
Although they’re extremely comfortably the original foam cushions and upholstery do not meet the UK 1988 Fire Regulations so we have replaced the originals with a paired down version of the cushions in feather. These have been covered in a chestnut brown Crest leather with lots of character, which will soften and age well.
Some of the metal stud fixings needed to be replaced and vary slightly but sit behind the cushions, see photo.
Teak version is also available and can be restored to order.
Materials: Rosewood, Leather.
Dimensions: width 90cm, depth 80cm and height 80cm.
