G Plan late 1950s tola coffee table in good vintage condition . This was part of the G Plan range of living and bedroom furniture that was introduced in the late 1950s , and was made into the first few years of the 1960s .
The Italian influence is too the front with this range , and indeed some of the pieces were given Italian names like the Librenza for the room dividers and bookcases .
Tola was much used at this time , and when polished has a lovely warm glow which contrasts nicely with the ebonised legs and brass finished adjustable feet which were designed for those with uneven floors !
We currently have 2 more of these stylish tables , but they’re not in such good condition . They also look great when totally ebonised with a high gloss finish , but this is quite expensive to have done properly .
Materials: tola and ebonised wood
Dimensions: 99cms x 48cms . ht 39/40cms
