G Plan long Danish range teak sideboard by Ib Kofod Larsen 235cms
This is the largest of the 3 versions of this sideboard that was designed by the famous Danish designer Ib Kofod Larsen for G Plan c 1962 . They were only made for 4 or 5 years and the range was more expensive than standard G Plan pieces at the time , and was marketed as a premium range so not sold in large quantities . The quality of all 1960s G Plan furniture is really good , but the many pieces from the range were particularly well made .
It’s currently in fair vintage condition , but will be cleaned and oiled in the next few weeks unless sold in ” as is ” condition . The handles from the range are thinly veneered in rosewood to give a contrast . It’s stamped with the G Plan Danish gold stamp as so often underneath an internal shelf .
