Greaves and Thomas 1960s teak framed upholstered armchair.
This mid century, teak armchair has very nice, stylish shaped arms with an upholstered back and box seat cushion. Greaves and Thomas were a good quality manufacturer of furniture based in Essex. Many of their designs were influenced by the Scandinavian trends of the time as seen here with this attractive chair. This chair dates to the early to mid 1960’s.
The chair has had new upholstery, including re webbing, new foam box cushion and then upholstered in lovely pure new wool upholstery fabric from Abraham Moon which is in tones of pale blue making it very versatile.
The frame has been cleaned and oiled and is in lovely condition.
