McIntosh early 1960s teak boat shaped dining table 6 seater
This is the earliest version of the McIntosh boat shaped dining table that soon became a classic . The label is the early 1960s one . Within 2 or 3 years this table was being made with an integral butterfly leaf rather this one which has a separate leaf that has to be stored when not in use .
Like many 1960s tables of this size it seats 6 with or without the leaf , but far more comfortably with the leaf in place .
It’s in vintage condition with a couple of small marks , but they’re not very deep . McIntosh didn’t use a varnished finish in the 1960s or early 70s , so their pieces are much easier to clean than those by makers like G Plan or White and Newton .
