Spotless McIntosh teak double leaf dining table
Every so often we come across a table that’s been covered all of it’s life , and this one certainly has . This means there are no colour differences between the leaves and the top , and it looks as good as the day it was bought some 45 years ago . We can’t promise that there won’t be some minor scratches and knocks to the legs , but the top is spotless .
You can seat 4 chairs to each side when extended , but then would struggle to get a chair at each end . Mostly these were used as 6 seat tables , and we find them often with 4 and 2 carvers or just 6 chairs without arms . If you want a carver chair at each end , then really it is just a 6 seat table .
A beautiful table at a sensible price . Like many British made teak dining tables we have in stock currently they offer fantastic quality and value compared to new pieces , many of which will have long gone in 20 or 30 years time . In 1968 these retailed at £40 3 shillings and 2 old pence !
