Uniflex early 1960s Q Range small sideboard / dressing table
Designed by Gunther Hoffstead in the early 1960s for Uniflex the Q Range was aimed at a young design conscious buyer who was looking for something more modern than made by larger companies like G Plan . We ‘re not sure what wood was used , it’s lighter than teak and looks to be a cherry veneer possibly .
Without its heavy mirror these stylish low chests make great small sideboards . The triple mirror unit which was designed to be lit via a small transformer that’s hidden in the back of the unit . The wiring after 50 something years will need replacing , and as it was cut by a previous owner we don’t know whether the light will still work . Otherwise it’s in great vintage condition helped by the fact that the top has been protected by a sheet of glass .
It’s 152.5cms long , 46cms deep and 72cms in height
