These amazing garden chairs are surprisingly comfortable . The "saw chair " was designed in 1966 , and is made of ash and canvas ( still have original but it has been heavily repaired ) . It comes to pieces quite easily , and its the tension of the rope that completely stabilises it .
Its a well-known design and is illustrated in various works . The illus is from Danish Chairs by Noritsuga Oda .
